Today we are going to cover a little gem in my business called Product Development.
In the last post I wrote to you about sugar and health and that is because I believe in living a healthy life to be happy and be MORE productive.
Back in 2010 I started developing a product. Got sidetracked and almost forgot about it.
What I started out was not only the baby from my vision but it turned out to be a passion at the same time. You see I love being involved in the making of a product. Writing a sales letter and preparing it for sale is another story. It must be done, but is not near the excitement one gets from creating a product when you know you have something special. We are not all the same and some prefers to write the sales letter.
In order to provide something of value and not rehashed content I really had to think a little extra on what I should create that will fall into the category of success instead of despair. Some products out there help little to no people and make little to no money for the creator. This can be because of bad research or many other factors.
To get started doing development of a product it is imperative that research is done properly. The way to do that research is quite simple on paper and is quite simple to perform also but you got to stay focused.
A successful product usually addresses an issue or a problem. Maybe something elementary was missing from a report you read once. You found out the missing part and wrote a new report on it.
There you have a new product with already researched material plus the edge of your new input can make that report more attractive for prospects.
In this case you should re-write the whole report, kinda obvious that you don’t want to blatantly copy someone else’s work.
Benefits of having your own product are big.
Instant recognition as an expert.
Your own product means more money in your account.
It creates you a “Buyers list” that you can sell to again and again.
You will get asked to do Joint Ventures which means your business will only grow from that point on.
Plus much much more. Doing online marketing is not hard in itself… Deciding what exact online business model to focus on, is hard!
Affiliate marketing is perhaps the most recognized model of internet marketing. But there are downsides to it and being your own master as in “control of your products pricing” when you are a product creator deeply outweighs the easiness of promoting someone else’s already finished product.
Now don’t get me wrong… I need affiliates! And affiliates need quality products to promote.
All I am saying is that when you are the creator you have the control. Also for your backend where most of your income will populate from.
It has been a long time since I started the creation of this product and things are looking bright as I am close to the final stages of putting it all together.
I seriously don’t want to spill my beans on exactly what it is yet… But I HOPE to launch in the next week or two. My timeframe can be extended but I hope not.
To wrap things up a bit I can show you a little bit more on how I get effective as the creator when I put on the role 🙂
Think you can do the same?
Look forward to the next post 🙂
