18 ways to increase productivity

March 16, 2017 by Rune Ellingsen

These 18 Ways to Increase Productivity for Internet Marketers are ultra effective and absolutely must be treated as such.

Eighteen ways to increase productivity should give you enough to get pumped.

Apply just a few and you will notice a difference if you are not used to being this disciplined with yourself.

If you want to use the ways to increase productivity then you can give these hacks you choose three weeks or more before you make a judgment on how much more you have done.

This is just because it takes three weeks to make a habit. Then you will have no choice but to become more productive as a direct result of memorizing and making the habit.

When working at home:

These tricks may aid.

1.Work 15 minutes.

Use any Timer. Your blood-flow is far from optimal when you work from home. Unless you stand and type that is. – I must admit I have some tasks where I sit and type and type as I do now and it is not in my best interest to just get up and get distracted so TEST before you choose what tasks are suitable for this exercise.

2. Rest 15 minutes

Say you manage to do 15 minutes of work then 15 minutes of whatever, then you can get something to eat, you can do the dishes, you can play some music, you can take a walk or a short run… And many other things just to get your mind off and your mind sharp.

3. Write Down What Your Next Task is.

Keep GOALS in mind at all time. The more goals you set that you CAN make and actually DO make will boost your momentum and confidence so you have the ultimate snowball effect. You want to have a few up to many reachable goals as you can during one day. Learn to measure the time it takes you to complete certain tasks.

4. Cross it off your list

The importance of doing the check marks: You want to reach as many “CHECK. DONE WITH THAT TASK, moments…” as possible, to boost your momentum and self-esteem so you are lit and seeking the next challenge. This ensures your mastering of new fears, which is the stopper of growth in many businesses.

5. Write Daily tasks/goals, weekly, monthly, yearly.

Keeping a daily task sheet is good. But when you do only that you need to make up new tasks every day, and for good goal setting standards you want to have bigger goals also that may take longer to accomplish but reap more harvest for your business. These Tasks that a business would want to have should be at least: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly. You can add quarterly and you may also want to think a bit about your direction before setting the wrong or right goals, because you now may have gotten more to chew on than first anticipated after point 3 with the DAILY task. Stick to what you are comfortable with in the beginning but make goals. Do not worry too much if you get delayed a little if a task is taking longer than anticipated. Just KEEP FOCUS. The most important thing is to finish.

6. Spend 30 minutes on exercise in the morning.

This ensures blood flows in your brain with easy. Sitting too much will make it slower. Starting the day with at least 30 minutes of light or heavy exercise is a surefire way to increase your blast off on the day.

7. Spend 30 minutes on meditation during the day.

I suggest you make a judgment call and try to feel when your body needs it. Usually, that would be when you feel stressed. If you are not in tune with our timing of the tasks or not settled with spending more time than wanted then take that deep breathing exercise and breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth. Possibly find a video on Youtube for relation meditation to aid you.

8. Drink Liquids, water coffee smoothie.

Having some energy in your beverage and enough of it is a wise choice so you also feel your metabolism functioning properly. Water, one glass first thing in the morning. And also throughout the day. Coffee, if you like it, is a great energizer. The same can be said about Yerba Mate which is a similar effect like coffee but without the jitters. Smoothies can be super-healthy and can also contain anything from juice and bananas to algae and so called Superfoods and Nootropics which is a nutritional category based around mind enhancing supplements. You can live on smoothies alone and feel light in body AND mind. This aids the overall energy level a lot. Not essential but wanted to add it in here as it really has benefits for the head if you use the right supplements.

9. Eat healthily.

Aside from a diet based on foods that will enhance your cognition and speed, you must think blood-flow. Don’t binge so you get stuffed and work slow. Low energy food, gives lower scores, plain and simple.

10. Read Books.

The MOST important part in a lot of Entrepreneurs life is constant learning and copying what works. Read books on the topics you want to get better in. Get the best books. And benefit from somebody else’s hard work leapfrogging years in growth.  Be sure to pay for the books 🙂 ( Why books, because the PC-monitor needs a break.)

11. Listen To Mindset and Growth material.

Same principle, learning from the masters. Cannot be understated and you want to include learning from more than one medium. So reading is one thing, listening is another. I find it practicable for times when traveling or meditating/relaxing.

12. Make a Mindmap.

Use Software Like Freemind or Xmind (or similar) and create Mindmap like the rough example included below here. Get the bird’s eye view of your sites, funnels, business overall and structure your business the way you want it to. Just using the mind and remembering this is not easy, looking at the Mindmap gives you a clear vision on all the parts at once. Without you needed to thin k and try to remember everything moving part. Super “handy” stuff which gives clarity in the growth process fast.

13. Organize Your Tabs In ORDER.

From the first being the most important tab to check every morning, like your stats, email etc. – Your Browser Tabs should be of utmost importance to have IN ORDER like the serious businessman or woman you are. It might be a bad idea to put Facebook there just because you use it, unless you use it only for work. Email, Todoist. Server Access. Whatever YOU use or SHOULD be using daily, MUST be put in order ranging in the importance of tasks related to Tab up there. If you just felt an urge to re-organize then you know you’re onto something.

14. Use Todoist.

In the tabs, you can put Todoist.com, it helps you organize your tasks easily. I have looked at several of these planners and this is at the moment the one I went for as it is more or less exactly what I need for keeping track of my schedule with smaller and medium tasks.

15. Avoid all distractions.

What  I am talking about is TV, video games, and things that take you away from a good roll… Steer clear for as much as you possibly can when you have a work week for maximum results. – TV and Newspapers information stays in your head all day. Your mind subconsciously thinks about it. Say you started the day reading the news and the news sucked, you might be feeling a little depressed as opposed to not reading the news. It is one thing to stay up to date with some news, but do you need to see them every day or would you rather grow more as a person spending that precious time in the morning preparing yourself for the day?

16. Chill!

You work HARD, and deserve and NEED to chill. Relax when you feel you are working on fumes. Take a day off or two. Then get back into it when refreshed. Often 4-5 days do a lot of good if a period has been long. This depends entirely on your situation but To say it like it is, entrepreneurs without focus get burned out. When tired we can make mistakes so it is important to stay on top of that game as that is what you want, top performance, right? =) So remember to take a breather and get back stronger.

17. Write Down On Paper The Tasks.

You want to be done and your thoughts on projects. – This is just as Mindmaps and Todoist a great way to memorize and learn at the same time. When we note something down on paper we commit to the task as it is greater than punching buttons on a keyboard… It gives that tasks higher meaning and a purpose and you much more likely to accomplish a written task than any other way, without writing it down.

18. Use Whiteboards in addition to all.

They can be big and give a great view on your wall for Mindmaps, notes presentations and drawing… You name it. (Highly recommended!)

Other ways to increase productivity include sometimes also music. – Music will give you a good mood if you’re into that then. Also, it stimulates your brain so it get’s creative. Depending on the task ahead and need for inspiration or not.

This is an option that goes into the chill part, the energy part, and the creative part.

Other things worth mentioning may be glasses for eye constraint and exercise ball for your “mouse arm”, this is for the long term heavy user.

I would advise getting a hold of something like that at some point as I need it myself 🙂

  • When using mind maps you see a clearer path to your goal.
  • See here for a rough: (I did write that you need to blog a lot, but the numbers are not necessarily correct IN the image. For a blog to get the traffic it gets MORE if you post more but you can blog less than 5-6-7 days a week and still get traction with organic website traffic momentum.

ways to increase productivity

Click the image above for zooming in and out.
What I mean is that we need variation in our work so we keep inspired.

Follow these simple rules and be sure to get some work done every day.

After all this is your business and it won’t run completely on it’s own without your dedication.

Other things you should take in consideration is the use of  something called Vision Boards.

The idea is that you get several images of your goals like what you want to achieve by getting successful. Like for instance a picture of a house, car, location and money and whatever you want. Put these images inside a frame so you can look at them every day. Get an image for your computer desktop background image also. This way you keep it in mind at all times by being programmed to visualize them in more detail. Also the more detailed your images are the better.

The clearer your goals are, the better.

This works on a subconscious level and keeps us moving even faster towards our goals.

Use this a daily guide towards your prosperity.

Best books for entrepreneurs

October 30, 2015 by Rune Ellingsen

Best Books for Entrepreneurs. Some of them are in the category, “must-have”.

Your pc monitor or tablet certainly work as a reading platform, but our eyes read paper material much easier.

Today I will make a list of some of the best books for entrepreneurs which helped shaped me, and also guided me into the entrepreneurial world.

But first, let me elaborate on the subject of why.

Why one should read books on top of all the information which is laid out online:

First off, less clutter.

Better for the eyes.

And also usually more sustainable information. This depends on what you read of course but “stick” with me here.

There are many books to choose from and many authors to follow.

First, let me start off by mentioning the first of the best books for entrepreneurs I remember reading over and over.

The first on the list of the best books for entrepreneurs is called “Think and Grow Rich” and is written by a man named Napoleon Hill.

If this is the first time you hear about his book and you consider yourself an entrepreneur or simply want to start a small business but lack some guidance and/or vision, then this is for you.

This book takes you far back into the depths of your mind where you visualize and suggests ideas ready to be materialized.

It gives you a mental direction with a focus on the task you have set yourself out to do. With this, you will have more focus.

And yes it is a MUST HAVE in your collection.

I cannot write about how much this book meant to me because it really is priceless. I have it in written form and on audio. Been through it several times.

The second of the best books for entrepreneurs is on fire in terms of thinking like a free individual in a fast pace is DRUM ROLL:

“The Four Hour Work Week” by

Tim Ferriss.

This book is very different than most of what you have read in the past, I would assume.

If you are familiar with it then great. If not, you should. This one should be in your collection AND you should follow Tim Ferriss on FB as he posts a lot there about his lifestyle.

And the lifestyle… Is very free. For some controversial. For others, a mind opener/blower or whatever you want to call it. That’s when you can’t put the book down and are getting intrigued by the “off the hook” approach to getting you to enjoy life at low cost, STILL living luxurious and without boundaries and willing and wanting to explore every aspect of life.

Totally another MUST HAVE for your collection.

The third of the best books for entrepreneurs in this post is called

“The Ultimate Sales Letter:  Attract New Customers. Boost Your sales.”

You can find more info on the author Dan Kennedy(!) here: GKIC.com

It’s in the title. Proven Formula for creating an efficient sales letter.

Highly recommended from many big names in the industry. Do check it out.

The fourth of the best books for entrepreneurs is called

“Words that Sell: More than 6000 Entries to Help You Promote Your Products, Services, and Ideas“

Richard Bayan wrote this. His book gets the recommendation from About.com as the No.1 resource for the copy. Visit his site here: Richard Bayan

A powerful book filled with words that evoke special feelings in people.

Some grab you in and hold your attention more than others.

Really one of the books I open a lot.

Number five on the best books for entrepreneurs list book is called

“CA$HVERTISING: How to Use More than 100 Secrets of Ad-Agency Psychology to Make Big Money Selling Anything to Anyone“

Must have!!! Written by “The Direct Response Surgeon: Drew Eric Whitman. Learn more about Drew here: Drew Eric Whitman Official Website

Really one of the best books for entrepreneurs as it contains so many spot-on methods you can leverage in your business.

Love this one for its blunt talk and highly effective writings.

Best Books For Entrepreneurs

Number six on our list of the best books for entrepreneurs book is called

“Buy Now: Creative Marketing that Gets Customers to Respond to You and Your Product“

Man behind this one is no other than Rick Cesari. With help from Ron Lynch. Learn about Rick and his team here: Cesari Direct

Found it to be of interest even though it touches shopping network ads.

It’s about those commercials you see on tv. You know from the shopping channel.

Insights from this book can be used elsewhere in advertising also.

Very good read.

The Seventh of the best books for entrepreneurs book is called

“Rich Dad Poor Dad: What The Rich Teach Their Kids About Money That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!“.

For those who are new to the game and have not heard of it before… The author is Robert T. Kiyosaki. Get to know him here: Who Is Robert T Kiyosaki?

The story of a kid growing up listening to two fathers. One poor and one rich.

The choices are obvious in some instances, financially, what decision should be made by either one of the two if faced with the same financial dilemma.

Observing this gives you an insight into making smarter choices for yourself.

Book number eight of the best books for entrepreneurs is called

“Predictably Irrational, Revised and Expanded Edition: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions“

Interesting book from Dan Ariely. Get to know him here: DanAriely.com

…Gets into the mind of consumers. When we go out and buy anything we are in a particular mode.

We can predict this but we as far as I can tell we have trouble letting it go completely.

Still reading this one.

Number 9 out of 10 of the best books for entrepreneurs is called

“The Personal MBA: Master the Art of Business”

Harvard Business school in ONE book. Written by Josh Kaufman. You can visit his site here: JoshKaufman.net

Still reading this one. Impressed over all of the nuggets so far.

Marked so many pages for later reading and writing. Valuable.

The Tenth on the list of best book for entrepreneurs is called

“How to Practice Suggestion and Autosuggestion“

It’s an oldie but goodie.

Using brain power, thoughts… You can set yourself in a different vibration. A different mindset if you will. This book is old but covers the study of what you can call self hypnosis.

Author is the late Emil Coue.

Learn more of him here: Durbon Hypnosis – Coue And Here: Wikipedia – Emil Coue

I like this one a lot.

It was one of the first books I read on the topic.

*Note. The url: www.Emilcoue.com is not relevant.

This list would not be complete ever, without at least adding this;

“Influence“, by Robert Cialdini.

One of THE absolute best books on human buying psychology. You can use only this and get an understanding of what makes people buy. You can use it offline and online.

You can use it offline and online.

Combine this with Cashvertising and words that sell and you have a power house of knowledge. Apply this is every marketing feat you do if you want the powerful edge they bring,

Combine more of the books for more control, but these are the top three.

If you want to learn more see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Cialdini

These are just some of what I have in my personal collection. I tried to make the list comprehensive and varied.

By reading this best books for entrepreneurs post you have a very good advantage when starting out as an entrepreneur.
They fit each other well. So you’re off to a good start.

Some would say 10 Books for Entrepreneurs is not enough, ever. And I totally agree.
The best books for entrepreneurs are the ones that resonate with you and your desires and make you fired up and makes you take action.
These books do that.
There are more quality books out there but as mentioned, this is an excellent selection for anyone going into entrepreneurship and wanting to have the best start.

If you want to keep on growing then the list should only get bigger.
Take notes of the books in your community. The ones with the highest recommendations from your most trusted peers would do.
That is if you cannot find them on Amazon for yourself… There are always some nuggets hidden from your sight so go elsewhere also.

Be sure to TAKE NOTES WHEN YOU READ instead of skimming through the book for a quick read only to re-read it later and take notes then.
Best way to digest and program the tactics inside these gems would be to take notes actively.

All in all, I want you to enjoy the post.

Read books and grow.

The latest book I read was “ASK”.

About the ASK method.

Google it for more information if you liked this post.

Have something to add? Leave a comment 🙂

Hopefully you have enjoyed this list of the “best” books for entrepreneurs.
